The region of Valencia (Generalitat Valenciana) approved the above-mentioned project presented by a consortium of partners
formed by Mainel Foundation, Universitat Catolica de Valencia, Comboni College of Science and Technology, Bitagdary NGO and Ivade Clinics of Valencia.
One of the activities of the project will develop the skills of the nursing staff of the College to improve the clinical practice
of the students through the introduction of “Avatar simulation”.
On Tuesday 13 January, Fr. Jorge Naranjo, Principal and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, met the rector of
the Universitat Catolica de Valencia, Dr. D. José Manuel Pagán Agulló, the dean of the School of Medicine
and Health Sciences, Dr. Carlos Barrios Pitarque, the vice-dean of students' affairs and university life,
Lucía Alonso Larza, Mr. Pedro, from the office of development cooperation, Cristina Celda Balaguer,
director of Mainel Foundation and Rubi Lovaton Abrill, manager of the project NET-CARE: INNOVATION IN NURSING AND PALLIATIVE CARE.
After the meeting, the manager of the University, Antonio Castro, accompanied Fr. Naranjo and the representative of
Mainel Foundation to visit the Clinic of the university and the virtual hospital.
